The firm's principals spent ten years as co-owners and managers of another urban planning consulting firm before forming CR Planning. They bring extensive experience in facilitation and planning process to meet clients' needs, in addition to technical expertise and knowledge of how communities can tailor unique solutions to their unique problems and priorities.
CR Planning principals have 30 years of management experience in land use, economic development, energy, and quantitative analysis projects. The firm has extensive capabilities in urban and rural land use planning, sustainable development, smart growth, and community-oriented planning efforts. Principals have managed large, complex, and long-term planning projects as well as focused projects on a short time frame.
CR Planning has four employees and works collaboratively with a large number of professionals in a variety of fields. The firm's two principals, Brian Ross and Jean Coleman, have developed a collaborative network of small and large design and engineering firms to allow maximum flexibility for meeting each client's specific needs. The firm's flexible approach to project management and team creation keeps overhead costs low and allows clients to achieve their project goals without buying more technical capacity than necessary.
